News articles ran all over the wires yesterday touting a new study and new data showing the number of people foregoing health insurance is on the rise. This study specifically targeted people earning between $20K and $40K per year. 41% of people in this income range do not have health insurance! The news is more discouraging because the study brings up the point that a large number of those with insurance are under-insured.
The study, called the “Gaps in Health Insurance: An All-American Problem, cites the fact that 4 out of 5 uninsured people have been so a year or longer, and that 21% have debt from medical bills.
