Ameriplan USA® Holds Convention in Chicago

Ameriplan® USA held their annual Fall Convention in Chicago this weekend. There were several announcements regarding the persistence program, new website requirements and details on the this years award for Ameriplan Health® sales. But the highlight of the convention was the training on how to maintain and keep your down line working and promoting the Ameriplan® benefits. This was valuable training for Ameriplan® brokers.

Ameriplan Health® Announcments

Ameriplan Health® will be announcing some big news in the upcoming convention this October in Chicago. Basically, Ameriplan® is going to take our medical plan to another level of higher quality. This means Ameriplan® will start to scale back on it’s reliance on partnerships and contracts with outside networks and start to build their own network. Eventually Ameriplan Health® will be run just like the dental plan! This is good news for our Ameriplan Health® customers.

Commenting on the news was HP&S CEO, “This is great news and perfect timing for our business. We just completed and launched project domino, which was intended to diversify our business away from the internet. The focus on this telemarketing project has always been Ameriplan Health®. We expect much faster growth, especially now that this marketing program is starting out so well.”

Ameriplan® Adjusts Fee Schedule for Dental Plan

Ameriplan® has adjusted the fee schedule of our dental plan. The sometimes confusing long list of different percentage discounts for some the specialists rates is being replaced by a flat 25% discount on all specialists services that do not appear on the normal fee schedule. This will help our customers avoid searching through a long list of dental terms to find the procedure they are interested in. This should save time and be less confusing.

Ameriplan® Wraps up Annual Convention

Day 4 of the Ameriplan® convention ended on Sunday with a non-denominational service. Overall it was a great convention with much learning taking place and lots of rewards being given out. These included the annnouncment of th top 10 finishers for the cruise to Alaska! This concludes our coverage of the convention. Not it’s back to work implementing the business plans and strategies for growth for our dental and our medical programs.

Day 3 at the Ameriplan® IBO Convention

July 15th, 2006

Day #3 of the Ameriplan® 2006 convention was another exciting one. The day started with a short breakfast meeting. Later in the morning and afternoon two “general assemblies” were held. Business planning and training were again discussed with various speakers. Tonight is the formal awards dinner, that will be followed by an award ceremony for top performing Ameriplan® IBO’s.

The convention will finish tomorrow with a “non-denominational” service for Sunday.

Day 2 at the Ameriplan® IBO Convention

July 15th, 2006

Day 2 of the Ameriplan® convention took place today. Ameriplan® held 2 general assemblies focused on the state of the business and training for Ameriplan Independent Business Owners. Some new issues facing IBO’s now include strategies for growing Ameriplan’s® new Health program, and the increasing market of the Hispanic market group. Ameriplan® is expecting the medical program to be a driver in future growth for the company and for individual business owners. Ameriplan® has also been releasing new marketing materials in Spanish tailored to the Hispanic market segment in the US.

The rest of the day included “Wild, Wild, West Fun night,” and “Ameriplan® Idol Contest,” and some country western music by the Coby McDonald Band.

Ameriplan® Kicks-off July Convention

Ameriplan® has kicked off it’s annual convention today in Dallas, TX. We will be bringing you daily updates and coverage of the convention. Today was the start of the convention that will include many great speakers and training for Ameriplan® IBO’s. The state of the business will also be discussed. Speakers will include founders Dennis and Daniel Bloom, Byrd Baggett, and a special guest to be announced. The convention will include workshops, entertainment, and recognition and awards events.

The convention kicked off today with private audiences with founders Dennis and Daniel Bloom for Founder’s Club members, various workshops, and Ameriplan® vendor services on display for purchasing supplies and advertising materials. This year will also include a special Spanish speaking workshop.

Health Products & Services Announces Project Update

Health Products & Services, of which an Ameriplan® IBO business is a part of, is announcing good progress on what it refers to as Project Raptor. Little is known about Raptor other than the fact that it does involve the Ameriplan® business and specifically the online business. A big stake on the future growth and success of the business has been placed on the success of the project.

Ameriplan IBO spokesman commented, “We have been in contact with our down line IBO’s. They are aware of the importance of this project, and without the details, they do know what it could mean for their own business. So, a lot of people are interested in what we are doing. You add this to the June Ameriplan Health® special, and it’s been a really busy month!”

News articles ran all over the wires yesterday touting a new study and new data showing the number of people foregoing health insurance is on the rise. This study specifically targeted people earning between $20K and $40K per year. 41% of people in this income range do not have health insurance! The news is more discouraging because the study brings up the point that a large number of those with insurance are under-insured.

Health Savings Accounts in the News Again

This morning’s CNBC Squak box segment (April 11, 2006) featured a long discussion on health savings accounts. One of the most interesting points was made by a CEO who favors their use. In response to critics who say HSA’s will serve as an excuse for corporations to stop providing health care benefits to their employees, he said his company hasn’t lowered their burden at all.

He countered with the fact that the free market place will drive companies to remain competitive by offering benefits that attract the most talented workforce. It will remain to be seen how companies respond to the growing use of HSA’s.
