Ameriplan Health® & Dental Information

Ameriplan® is not called insurance because it is not insurance. Ameriplan® offers discount medical and dental benefits. This is not insurance because there is no direct payment from Ameriplan® to a provider. Instead, Ameriplan® has contracted with thousands of providers. They, in turn, have agreed to give their services to Ameriplan® members at deep discounts. The member will pay the full fee at the time of service, but at a very nice discounted rate.

Yes! Braces and orthodontics are part of the discount. All dental procedures are discounted. This includes all existing and on-going dental problems. However, this does not include orthodontic treatment already in progress. You can expect to save up to 50% on braces! This depends on your region. You can get a more accurate discount rate by visiting our fee schedule site on the home page.

No, on the perscription drug discount, you must have your Ameriplan® membeship card with you. For the dental and medical discounts you can use the membership number. However, for the other discounts, such as perscription drugs, you must show your Ameriplan® card. But don’t worry, it only takes 7-10 business days for your Ameriplan® package to arrive in the mail.

If you use Ameriplan Health® for normal medical expenses, you should save on average 50%! That’s right, you should pay about half of what you normally would with no benefits at all. This is why Ameriplan Health® is gaining popularity so fast.

If you are a current Ameriplan® IBO and you have been in a basic plan with no website and were paying $35 per month you should expect that fee to change. The increase to $50 is due to a new policy by Ameriplan®. This is that all IBO’s will have a website. This website package is an extra $15 to cover the cost of maintenance of server storage. Every IBO will now pay a flat $50 rate.

The Ameriplan® discount plan works by allowing our customers to purchase health and dental care at a big discount. They pay at the time of service. There is no co-pay, paper work, or reimbursements to deal with. Ameriplan® customers need to go to a provider in our network. For the Ameriplan Health® plan, the target savings is 50%, for dental the discount varies based on the procedure and doctor’s location. Typical savings range from between 20% – 80%.

Yes, Ameriplan Health® does include gynecology care and prenatal care. Again, the target savings off these normal check us is 50% off the normal fee you would pay at the doctor’s office. Ameriplan® is proud to offer these benefits and savings to women and their unborn children.

No. Ameriplan® is not insurance!! Ameriplan® is a discount plan and there is a big difference. Health and dental insurance “cover” you in the case you need to utilize the service. You present your insurance card to a provider who then charges you a co-pay. Your insurance company is then billed for the balance.

You go to an Ameriplan® provider in our network, you present your Ameriplan® card, and pay a significantly reduced price at the time of service. That’s it. You save money. But no, it is not insurance.

The Ameriplan® Vision plan is very easy to use. On your Ameriplan® membership card, the vision plan will refer to a service called “Coast – to – Coast.” When you visit the eyeglass center or opthalmist you will tell them you are a coast – to – coast member with Ameriplan® and show them your membership card or membership number. Vision providers in our network accept Coast-to-Coast vision plan.

You can expect to save about 50% on lenses and frames and 20% on other features such as scratch resistance, etc. Exams typically give you a big % discount. The discount is usually approximately 80%, and you should expect to pay about $10 for an eye exam.

You can use your benefits the very same day you sign up with Ameriplan®! If you sign up over the phone, or online, you will be given a membership number at the very end of the process. That same day you can go to a provider in our network and give them that membership number. If needed, they can call our member services line to verify your membership. Your benefits start that day!

After about 7-10 business days you will recieve your membership welcome package, including your membership card. But again, if you have the number you can use the benefits until you get the card in the mail.
