Ameriplan® members pay at the time of service. This means the dentist recieves cash immediately. There is no waiting on forms to clear. The dentist is also recieving a marketing service from Ameriplan® because our members must see the dentists in our network in order to get the discounted rates.

Deep teeth cleaning is a part of the Ameriplan® dental discount. The discount percentage varies depending on what area you live in.

Deep teeth cleaning,is a common non-surgical procedure used to treat periodontal disease. During the scaling stage, the tooth is thoroughly cleaned both above and below the gum line to get rid of any plaque or calculus (hardened plaque, also known as tartar) on the tooth. During the root planing stage, the tooth is smoothed, removing any rough calculus deposits to help eliminate a breeding ground for bacteria. This deep teeth cleaning provides a smooth clean surface which is ideal for helping the gums to reattach.

After your deep teeth cleaning, your dentist will more than likely prescribe antibiotics to kill any remaining bacteria. He or she may also prescribe an antibacterial mouthwash to help keep the mouth clean during this healing and regrowth period. Your dentist will also schedule another appointment, approximately four to six weeks later, to check on the improvement of your gums and teeth.

This is not, however, the end of the patient’s treatment. A commitment to good dental health is vital to the treatment of periodontal disease. A regular schedule of flossing and brushing should be maintained. Your teeth should be brushed at least twice every day for at least two minutes, and they should be flossed correctly once per day. Also, if you smoke, you should consider quitting, or at least greatly cutting back on the amount you smoke. Cigarette smoke can prevent healthy healing of the gums. If the patient is dedicated to maintaining good dental health after the deep teeth cleaning, he or she can help the gums heal correctly and help keep periodontal disease at bay.

Yes, Ameriplan® does have a special pricing plan for the state of Florida. Rather that the option to sign up as an Ameriplan Health® member and get the entire package of medical, dental, vision, perscription, and chiropractic discounts, Florida residents need to purchase the dental package that includes the vision, perscription, and chiropractic discounts. Then, if they also want the Ameriplan Health® medical discount, they would need to purchase that benefit seperately.

HP&S has announced earnings grew of $2.40 per share which represents a 50% growth in profits. Sales grew by 40%. These were just above the forecast for the year. These results also included a one time write-off of $0.17 per share in capital expenditures that were deemed worthless.

The dividend was increased to $1.00 per share. Forecast for 2007 is that sales will slow to a 21% growth rate, and earnings will drop to a 12% growth rate, partly due to an increase in capital and investment costs for new business development.

The Ameriplan® IBO was the biggest driver in earnings and growth. HP&S owns an Ameriplan® business. “2006 was our best year yet, and this makes it 2 years in a row that our forecast results matched with reality extremely accurately. I think we understand our business and what it takes to get the results we are looking for. 2007 will be a challenge to keep growing. We need to focus on Ameriplan® sales conversion rates at our online sites, and grow our eCommerce business as well,” said HP&S CEO.
