Last week I discussed some basic and fundamental reasons some people suceed or fail at the Ameriplan® business. The summary ended by saying you need a good business plan. Part II of this series will focus on how to create a good business plan.

First, the most important thing for any new business is cash. You have to make sure you have enough cash to survive a startup. Fortunately, Ameriplan® is a low cost startup. In addition, you can count on good cash flows when you make sales because Ameriplan® pays you 6 month advances on anyone you sign up! This really helps short term cash flow.

So, when you start, plan on where and how much you will spend on advertising each month. Newspapers, and other media methods are easy to budget for. Online advertising can be more risky, because you don’t know how much you will spend in pay-per-click advertising. On average, if your website is a well designed you, you can count on someone signing up about once every 20 - 30 clicks. The bottom line is, know your advertising budget and stick to it. Second, have a marketing plan. Know where and to who you will be targetting for the discount coverage. Is it people with no insurance, small business, stay- at-home moms, or just everyone?

And finally, you need to make some basic financial projections. Predict as best you can the income from new sales you expect per your advertising budget (your upline can help you here), and calculate your profit or loss. Typically people may lose money the first few months of any business startup. This is because costs of initial advertising, supplies, even capital equipment such as a computer are usually not covered that fast by sales. This is the key - if you can fund yourself with enough cash to be able to reinvest all of your sales dollars into the business, your chances of success with Ameriplan® are extremely high! There are many reasons why some people fail at working the Ameriplan® business while others succeed. In my opinion the reasons are very similiar to those that occur in any other business. There are several factors outside the person’s control, however, most are within the business owner’s control.

Let’s discuss factors outside your control. These things could be family health problems, other crisis that just suprise you, and so the timing was bad. Economic conditions could create a weaker demand for Ameriplan’s® discount products. These things are possible, and they do happen, but realistically, they don’t very often.

Most of the time people fail because they don’t do what is needed to succeed. These fundamentals of running the Ameriplan USA® business from your home are the same for any business. You need a good plan, a strategy of how you manage cash flow in the first early months (first six months), and the work ethic and courage to stick with the business plan and make it work. Also, you need to be flexible enough to adjust when things are not working. Part II in this series will focus on how to create a good business plan for your Ameriplan® business.
